The Telstra Graduate Program

What you’ll be doing as a Product and Service Design Graduate

You’ll support the development of a superior user experience, which is anchored by a Human Centred Design approach. You’ll also help teams across the business with research and user testing, developing segment personas, creating target state user journey maps, and developing prototypes to test and iterate with our customers.

You will apply customer centric digital and non-digital product design and management skills to create and curate products and services based on deep customer analytics and leveraging the technical expertise within Telstra and partners.

What skills and experiences do you need?  

We’re looking for people who are just about to or have recently completed a degree like Business Commerce (Marketing), Innovation and Design, Design Computing, Design or Psychology (HCD or design thinking).

You’ll need to be a great communicator, a team contributor and someone who likes to solve complex problems. We’re also looking for graduates who have experience in:

  • Industrial Design Engineering
  • Creative base
  • Design- Business
  • Agile
  • Commercial acumen
  • Marketing

Program eligibility

You will need to have completed your most recent tertiary education qualification within the last two years, and up to the commencement of the Telstra Graduate Program in January 2021 with a minimum Credit Average. Weight Average Mark of 60 and above.

You must be an Australian or NZ citizen or Australian permanent resident.

International students with visa subclass 500, 573 or 574 are eligible to apply for the IT and Engineering Streams only. International students studying a Masters must complete a minimum two-year master’s course at an Australian University.
