Performance is key hiring metric, as a result, diversity a bit lacking. Noticeable lack of women and ethnic minorities. No formal diversity programs

Optiver is not too bad at D&I but there is still work to be done in this space (as there is with every other tech company too). Some awesome things we do include providing parental leave to either males or females which encourages more men to take time off for their kids. We also are accommodating to people who want to work part-time to spend more time with their children. We also have social events for women to give us an opportunity to meet the other women in the business. We are working hard in the recruitment space as well by sponsoring women in engineering student societies and hosting events such as Girls in Tech and F Factor. There is still more that we can do in this space (for now we have been primarily focusing on gender diversity) but I am glad that there are many people in the business who care and are working towards improving D&I.

Perhaps as diverse as a trading firm can be.

It's a male dominated company and industry but there is definitely a push for diversity across all respects.

there is some current diversity, though perhaps more a reflection of Sydney than company culture. Not overly aware of commitments on this issue for recruitment or retention.

They have commitment to diversity and there is definitely no indication that they are excluding any group but I feel they could be making a bigger effort to target minorities that aren't represented here and display themselves as a more diverse workplace
