As a global, well renowned company, Ericsson provides the opportunity to grow, develop and learn more about yourself and how you want to progress your career. I chose to apply for the graduate program because I knew that working at Ericsson would be a dynamic, yet challenging experience. Having worked with key customers during my project management and IT security rotations, I've learnt how to adapt and improve my skills in communication and negotiating.
Some key activities working in project management is estimating the effort and finances required to continue a project, securing resources, negotiating with customers and attending governance meetings, and coordinating vital activities required to reach project milestones. Even without prior experience in a particular role, the training and guidance is always provided.
Ericsson also provides various training activities, whether it is through coaches or mentors, online learning, key documentation on network designs and being in meetings with our customers. The support from your colleagues is also very rewarding, which is one of the highlights of working at Ericsson; no matter how busy people are, they are always willing to help out.
Personally, my experience at Ericsson as a graduate has been quite surprising. The opportunities to put yourself out there and work on something completely different than what you expected to do is endless and always around the corner. In this way, you can be exposed to different technologies, networks, tools and processes, knowledge that would be advantageous for your future rotations or roles.
