Where did you start with Cisco, and where did it lead you?
I started as an Associate Sales Representative in Raleigh, North Carolina in 2008. After a year there I moved to Sydney and became a Virtual Sales Account Manager. After one year I moved to Adelaide as a Territory Account Manager responsible for SA/TAS. After 3 years I moved to Singapore and became a Global Account Manager covering Citibank and JP Morgan Chase for the Asia Pacific region. Following this 3 years later I moved back to Sydney and now manage a sales team covering Australia and New Zealand.
What motivated you to join Cisco's graduate program?
I really wanted to work for a global company that could afford me opportunities to learn and travel. As well, I wanted to join a company that is helping the world change the future for the better
As a graduate at Cisco, what is the most valuable skill or piece of information you gained?
Most valuable piece of information I gained early in my career was to 'be a sponge'. Every interaction is a valuable learning opportunity.
What is the best part about working at Cisco?
The people, the learning, the global aspect of it all.
How did the graduate program prepare you for the next stage in your career?
The program comprehensively prepared me for the next stages of my career. The Associate Sales Representative program trained me in all aspects of my future professional development, from presentations, to sales techniques, through to etiquette and executive presence.
